“Fabric to Form – A Journey” Exhibition
3 Mar @ 9:00 am - 4 May @ 5:00 pmFree
Fabric to Form is an exhibition of textile art works from a six year journey by the artist. The journey started with an intension to dabble in a little traditional patchwork quilting, while spending time with her elderly mother in Longreach, and evolved into an exciting love affair using fabric and texture as a medium to depict images inspired by travel, landscape and the architectural world. Colour schemes and stylisation are the starting point for Rosemary McCall’s (née te Kloot) works in cotton, silk and linen. The surfaces are given form and texture using quilting techniques, hand or machine stitching and are further embellished with paints, crayons or found objects. Items will be available for purchase.
This exhibition will be on display from 3 March – 4 May 2017.
