National Trust Australian Heritage Festival – FREE Week Day Guided Tours of the National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar

Qantas Founders Museum is again celebrating the National Trust Australian Heritage Festival with a series of guided tours of the National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar, a free Curator’s Lecture (8 May 2017) and the launch of the National Archives of Australia Exhibition “A Place to Call Home” (10 May – 1 October 2017). The 2017 Australian Heritage Festival theme is Having a Voice. 

On week days from 18 April – 19 May between 10am -11am, visitors can enjoy a FREE hour guided tour of the National Heritage Listed Qantas The tour, which is only offered during the National Trust Australian Heritage Festival, allows participants to discover the history of the 1922 Qantas Hangar and its many owners and uses. The Hangar’s artefacts and displays reveal the trials and tribulations of early aviation in Queensland.
