Qantas Founders Museum Christmas Closure period ~ from 1pm on Friday 22 December 2023 and reopening at 8am on Monday 8 January 2024
Summer Season commences Monday 9 October 2023. The museum’s trading hours will be 8am – 1pm daily.
Qantas Founders Museum is open 8am-4pm from Monday 25th March.
Qantas Founders Museum is open 8.30am-1.30pm on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday & Monday (29 March -1 April) and 8.30am-1.30pm on Anzac Day (25 April),

Qantas Founders Museum now offers temporary kennels at ‘Pooch Palace’ and access to water for your dogs at no charge while you are visiting the Museum.
Qantas Founders Museum is a world-class organisation here to tell the story of Australia’s national airline, from its early days in Outback Queensland to present day.
Characters of the early Qantas days, their pioneering spirit and the impact the airline had for all Australians, is brought to life through life size exhibits, historical artifacts and interactive displays including the National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar.
Visitors can enjoy informative guided tours of the Boeing 707, Boeing 747, Super Constellation and DC-3 in the Museum’s Airpark Enclosure. Our Museum also has a restaurant for guests to enjoy a meal or refreshment and a Founders Store to buy a souvenir for themselves or a loved one. In the evening our guests can enjoy our Luminescent Longreach light and sound experience designed to delight, entertain, inform and move.
