Qantas Founders Museum is a world-class museum located in Longreach, Queensland and is home to the oldest civil aviation building in Australia. The museum is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the history and telling the story of Australia’s National Icon. We connect with the public through experiences, education, collections, and displays. Characters of the early Qantas days, their pioneering spirit and the impact the airline had for all Australians, is brought to life through life size exhibits, historical artifacts and interactive displays including the National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar.
Our team is passionate and dedicated, providing a high level of customer service and experience. A key part of the role is enjoying communicating with the public and providing a fresh and vibrant tour through the museum’s Airpark Enclosure, home to the Boeing 747, Boeing 707, DC-3 and Super Constellation. In-house training is provided to all new employees to teach them the tour, how to use the Point of Sale (POS) and Reservations software and other tasks associated with the role. The museum is open daily.
