Wins Prestigious Award
Qantas Founders Museum is thrilled to announce Sarah Johnson, Senior Curator, has been awarded the individual Paid Staff category as at the 2024Gallery and Museum Achievement Awards (GAMAA). The award, presented by Galleries and Museums Queensland, recognises Sarah’s outstanding professionalism, leadership within the community, and commitment to the cultural and artistic growth of the region.
Sarah Johnson’s work at the museum has long been admired by colleagues and the community alike. Under her guidance, the Qantas Founders Museum has continued to evolve as a hub of artistic and cultural significance in Outback Queensland. Her leadership has expanded the museum's exhibitions and programs, fostering deeper engagement with both locals and visitors.
